Running a deposit scheme is insurance for a hairstylist's business.
With each short notice cancellation or no show appointment, it affects our wages direct.
With every gap in our diaries, we are still required to pay our business bills regardless of whether we have been payed or not.
For this reason, the deposit terms are listed below.

As a standard, a £50 non-refundable deposit is required for all bookings of £100+.
On occasions, a £25 non-refundable deposit may be asked for appointments under £100.
You will be asked for a deposit upon confirmation of your appointment & have anywhere up until 10 days before your appointment to make the deposit payment.
The deposit can be paid either via cash/card in the salon or via bank transfer.
(An email containing bank details will be provided for bank transfer payments).
The deposit amount will be deducted from your total bill upon payment of your booking.
If the deposit is not received 10 days prior your appointment, your appointment may be cancelled and offered to someone else.
If you need to change your appointment date/time, this can be done anywhere up until 7 days before your appointment, and your deposit will be moved to your new booking slot.
If you cancel or rearrange within the 7 days before your appointment or no show on the day, your deposit will unfortunately be lost. If you wish to rebook a new appointment, you can do so starting fresh with a new £50 deposit.
If you are late for your appointment, this time will come out of your service, and we may need to adapt what can then be done with your hair in the reduced time slot.
You will still be charged for the full amount of the booking.
If you cancel your appointment with more than 7 days notice, and do not require to book a new appointment at that time, your deposit will be valid against any booking within the next 6 months. Upon rebooking, the deposit will be placed against your new booking, and all deposit conditions will apply.
If you change your mind about what service you require, please give 7 days notice. If you give less than 7 days notice to a change of service, the full amount quoted will still be charged.
If you have to cancel your appointment due to covid, the deposit terms still stand.
If I have to cancel or rearrange your appointment for any covid related reason (eg. salon closure due to another lockdown), your deposit will be moved to your rescheduled booking. Or upon request, under this circumstance, your deposit can be refunded.
